Real Life Drama - The Blind Side tells the true human story about a rich family that takes in a homeless black teenager and helps him realise his dreams. At the start of the movie, the boy is so pressed by the demands of daily existence that he has no ambition except to stay warm and survive. But once he has a home, he starts looking at the world and discovering what he can do and how far he can go. This is the real-life story of Michael Oher, who in 2009 became one of the new stars of American football. Significant because of a lifetime-best performance from Sandra Bullock, who will probably get the Oscar for it ahead of our own Carey Mulligan and Ms Streep
