Period Drama - Directed by “Young British Artist” Sam Taylor-Wood, this is the story of John Lennon’s childhood and youth, up to the Beatles’ departure for Hamburg. Abandoned at the age of 5 by his pleasure-loving but troubled mother Julia (Anne-Marie Duff), Lennon was raised by his formidable aunt Mimi (Kristin Scott-Thomas). Both women were Bafta nominated as Best Supporting Actress for their performances.
